- Motor vehicle travel is prohibited between the beach ramp at Gearhart (46° 01.8570', Mile 326), southerly to the Clatsop County-Tillamook County line (45° 46.9902', Mile 306), except as follows: Operation or parking of motor vehicles used for and engaged in towing dory boat trailers or essential dory boat launchings from Sunset Drive (45° 53.2830', Mile 313) in Cannon Beach southerly to Warren Way (45° 52.3566', Mile 312) with access from Warren Way only.
- There is hereby established a 15 MPH maximum speed limit within those areas of the ocean shore where motor vehicle travel is permitted. Said speed limitation shall extend from Ecola Creek to Arch Cape in Clatsop County, Oregon.

A morning walk on mile 311 from Tolovanna Wayside to Silver Point/Jockey Cap revealed a high relative abundance of ochre sea stars (Pisaster ochraceus) in rocky tidepools during the outgoing tide. Specifically came out for the new moon low-tide action, and Silver Point delivered. The cave/tunnel was almost fully exposed. Armored Chitons, hidden Dungeness crabs, and a pretty health Sea Star community. Seagulls make up most of the bird population, and they were stoked about all the tidal treats as well....read more
Definitely a beach to visit for low tide! We walked up and down our mile and fell in love. So many cool tide pools, tons of awesome rocks, great collection of driftwood.

Beautiful low tide left a very wide and clean beach on a bright and cold afternoon. Not a lot of wildlife observed unfortunately. I saw one sea star with obvious wasting disease and will report it to MARINe's Sea Star Observation Log. Photo attached. read more

I walked at low tide and this was a very low tide. The beach was quite large. Not much activity except for close to Tolovana and the tidepools. I took many photos to upload. There were two artlike sculptures at the end of the mile. (Photo attached.)read more
