- Motor vehicle travel is prohibited between the beach ramp at Gearhart (46° 01.8570', Mile 326), southerly to the Clatsop County-Tillamook County line (45° 46.9902', Mile 306), except as follows: Operation or parking of motor vehicles used for and engaged in towing dory boat trailers or essential dory boat launchings from Sunset Drive (45° 53.2830', Mile 313) in Cannon Beach southerly to Warren Way (45° 52.3566', Mile 312) with access from Warren Way only.
- There is hereby established a 15 MPH maximum speed limit within those areas of the ocean shore where motor vehicle travel is permitted. Said speed limitation shall extend from Ecola Creek to Arch Cape in Clatsop County, Oregon.

Observed at least 12 fulmar, 1 horned puffin, 1 rhinoceros auklet, 1 cassins auklet and 1 seal. all dead.
The mile north of 310 is not part of our Coastwatch mile, but we observe it for Coasst, and discovered 3 more fulmar and 1 seal. also all dead.read more

The beach was more stoney than sandy today, the tidewrack made up of mostly small plastics and wood. Live bald eagle, freshly dead Cassin's Auklet observed. People watching waves near parking lot, fanned out as tide went out.

Very nice day at the beach, low tide and it was still falling, one dog owner didn't seem physically able to clean up after their pets (two dogs that I cleaned up after). I was plesantly surprised by the small amout of human trash left on the beach after a busy Saturday. read more

Calm ocean this morning, couple people fishing in the surf, one dog running loose and two people walking the beach. Collected one full large bag of litter almost all man-made trash left from beach goers. read more

No dogs or other humans. No marine mammals.
Cloudy, low tide (maybe around 3 ft.).

Beach access has been improved to the stairs leading onto the shore. The final stairs are still being completed, work seems to have been started by OPRD early June. Beach access is currently closed due to a slide that removed the trail. There were zero humans on the beach and two cars in the parking lot. Areas south along the bluff to Red Rock creek appear to have slid as well.read more
