- Motor vehicle travel is allowed at any time from the mouth of Sand Lake (45° 16.6920', Mile 266) southerly to the base of the headland north of Cape Kiwanda (45° 13.3248', Mile 262), except as follows: From the mouth of Sand Lake (45° 16.6920', Mile 266), southerly to the approximate north boundary of Cape Kiwanda State Park property (45° 14.7900', Mile 263), motor vehicle travel is prohibited May 1 through September 30 and from sunrise to sunset on legal holidays (as defined in ORS Chapter 187) and on Saturdays and Sundays between October 1 and April 30.

3 drivers in trucks doing donuts in the sand. 2 motorcyclists flying a drone. One van of 5 adults & 7 children. Kids ran into the surf then to large rocks to climb. Lots of crab and clam shells. read more

Nothing out of the ordinary for a sunny weekday afternoon.The old sinkhole repair at Cape Drive and Ferry Road is beginning to erode away. From the beach one can see drainage pipes which were buried in the fill.read more 2012

No noticeable change in slide area. Rocks on beach uncovered at low tide. Large (30?) group of pelicans fishing, even larger group of gulls. No shorebirds. Not much in the way of human made beach debris, a couple of firepits, some wet paper in one of them.read more
