Dead harbor seal and the remains of a baby dolphin. Noticed the baby dolphin a couple weeks ago but unable to get photo (no battery). Now its pecked clean by the scavengers. Submitted Marine Mammal Report. Also, a lot of pelicans, perhaps a hundred feeding offshore and roosting on Poly Rock. ...read more
Dense fog burned off with increasing warm sunshine. There was a SOLVE beach clean up event at Roads End, but that didn't seem to be the driving factor for the large number of people visiting mile 246. Mile 246 did contain more manmade debris in the wrack line than is typical....read more

With the tide being low there were some people walking along the cliff to get to the inlet between that cliff and god's thumb. I did not do that for fear of unexpected waves. Noted differences in the landscape, likely due to recent king tides. Not on mile 246 but...read more
There's a tree swing, not far from the beach, on the property of 7975 NW Logan (northern most house in Roads End). I question whether the property owner installed it. I'll check it out. Photo-bombed by a couple of deer.read more

I went out to observe the King Tides. The access point to mile 246 is on 245 and the water was coming right up to the base of the walkway. Therefore I only took pictures of 246 from mile 245 and didn't access 246 directly.read more
