Summary:

On a mild, sunny Friday in November we found the beach pretty quiet. We saw 15 people on the beach, most walking. There were 2 kayaks or in the bay. We have not seen them there before, though there is a kayak rental business at the Port. This was also the first time we saw seals (3 of them) sunning themselves on small rocks out in the bay. They might have been young as their fur was pretty light in color.

Someone cut up a driftwood log into field firewood lengths and hauled the pieces to the access road. (note from CoastWatch Coordinator: Cutting up driftwood on the beach is a violation. Carrying driftwood to your vehicle is allowed.)

We checked out the abandoned campsite I noticed on a previous visit and the rotting tent is still there, draped over a branch. We didn't go all the way up to it because it was too creepy.

There's a few healthy clumps of Pampas grass on the hillside just west of Hubbard Creek.

I have not walked through this site, but I can see from the beach that at least the tent is still there, draped over a branch.
