Concerned about dog poop (3+ piles buried/removed) and excessive numbers of dead birds (at least one pelican). Lots of string-like plastic, possibly individual strands from a shredded tarp. 

Summary:

There were many birds, living and dead (9), seen on the mile of beach. Several people (8) and cars (9) as well, along with a few dogs (3). It was strange/interesting to see so many caterpillars on the beach. There was a lot of string-like plastic scattered all along the beach that may be from a shredded tarp.
