Oregon’s Land Conservation and Development Commission (LCDC) has initiated rulemaking to implement parts of Gov. Brown’s executive order on reduce greenhouse gas emissions.  The department is offering a webinar on Monday, Oct. 19, 2-3:30 p.m., to provide background information that will assist citizens in participating.

The rulemaking will focus on transportation and housing planning.  The focus in primarily on larger cities, so it isn’t specifically dealing with the coast, but most of the information is applicable to smaller communities as well.  The goal is meeting greenhouse gas emissions while also creating greater equity in communities.  Staff will answer questions as time allows.

Those unable to attend the live webinar will be able to listen to a recorded version that will be posted on the department’s web page concerning the rulemaking effort.
