Members of the public are invited to share their thoughts on the climate change-related issues most important to them and the Northwest region at the National Climate Assessment: Northwest Chapter Engagement Workshop on February 1, 2022. This virtual session will be led by the authors of the Northwest chapter of the Fifth National Climate Change Assessment, including two Climate Impacts Group scientists. Discussions in the workshop will help shape the topics addressed in the Assessment, and provide the authors with ideas of how the Assessment could be more useful for decision-making.

The workshop takes place on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.  To participate, register here.

The National Climate Assessment is a Congressionally-mandated quadrennial report led by the U.S. Global Change Research Program (USGCRP). The report evaluates how climate change affects people and places in the United States. The Northwest Chapter Engagement Workshop is one in a series of workshops that will solicit feedback based on a range of topics and geographic regions.  For more information on the Fifth National Climate Assessment and a complete schedule of engagement workshops, see this site.

Note: Given technical limitations, only the first 250 individuals to join the meeting will be able to participate. A link to attend the meeting, accessibility information, and other important details will be provided before the workshop via email.
