Virtual Wild Rivers Tour
Take a “Southwest Oregon Wild Rivers Tour” online on Tuesday Oct. 26, 6 p.m. The event, sponsored by the Kalmiopsis Audubon Society, KS Wild, and the Native Fish Society, has a dual purpose. It will provide a glimpse of some of the state’s wildest and most beautiful places, but will also provide information about these rivers and efforts to better protect them, including pending legislation.
Southwest Oregon is renowned for its relatively untouched rivers and salmon streams. This virtual tour will be conducted by author and photographer Tim Palmer, Zach Collier of the Northwest Rafting Company, Priscilla Macy-Cruser of Oregon Outfitters and Guides Association, and Jake Crawford of Flywater Travel, who will share images from their paddling and fishing exploration and describe favorite places.
